Arts Jobs Dancers wanted: Afro fusion/street/club styles, Mas Productions London Closes Thursday 1 August 2013 Paid (£20k-25k pro rata) Part time Artform: combined arts, dance, interdisciplinary arts, music, theatre Contact: Nwando Ebizie wandorous@gmail Description Audition date: Friday 2nd August, 10am – 6pm Venue: East London (exact location tbc) Fee: Standard ITC rates MRSL3 Dates: 12 days over august (exact dates negotiable) with performance on 30th August MAS Productions, a new experimental performance company set up by artistic directors Jonathan Grieve and Nwando Ebizie are looking for dancers for their first full length show. We are looking for male or female dancers with experience in either afro-fusion or African dance. We are interested in dancers experienced in one or more of the following areas: West African dance (specifically Nigerian) Popping and Locking Waacking House We are also interested in dancers who can also sing or rap and have an interest in performance art. The selected dancers will take part in an R&D process and rehearsals during August (exact dates and times are negotiable), culminating in an open sharing on 30th August at LimeWharf art space. After this initial sharing, there will be a series of performances in London and potential tours in Europe. We are looking for dancers who want engage long term in the project The day-long audition will take the form of: 1. Solo audition pieces We will ask each dancer to perform a solo dance piece (no more than 3 minutes). 2. Group workshop audition In the first instance, please send us a CV, headshot or recent image plus links to any online footage of recent performances.
