Arts and Crafts : The Tai Phake people have a rich tradition of crafts, handed down over generations since the earliest days of kingdom. Countless more continue to be made and serve practical needs in the obscurity of rural village, little known to the sophisticated world outside. some of them are - 1) 0UP : A kind of big container sufficient for keeping food items with its cover on top and stand on the bottom made of cane and bamboo works which is specially used as dinning tray for respectable persons. 2) SHAA : A medium size container which stand use to keep leafy vegetables and deep in the water for washing and cleaning the leafy vegetables. 3) SHAA SOUNG SOM : A kind of open mouth container of bamboo works use to carry food items to the Buddhist Temple to feed the monks. to be continued...
