As 2014 draws to an end and we welcome 2015 into our dates, diaries and signatures, I look onwards in reluctant hope and great anticipation that the coming year may be somewhat different from the regressive years bygone. I pray the aching world heals from the traumas of the cruelty and barbarity it has witnessed and the mortified skies no longer bear testimony to mankinds horrific state. As optimistic as I am generally, foresight fails to acknowledge that humanity will be restored in the hearts of men and with a heavy heart I accept that we have but only seen a glimpse of the monstrosity man is capable of. So, as much as people may feel it a happy new year, my conscience rejects any joy from what has transpired this year and what is forthcoming. May Allahs Bountiful Mercy be upon His Creation and may His Unbiased Justice prevail in a world that needs it so badly right now.
