As Debz Mayeux Shakti Buller says often, change happens. Even in our comfortable routines, small changes occur daily. Today is my supervisor Lisa Eaker Watkins last day after 20 years of service. We have known each other from day one. Congratulations & thank you Lisa for your friendship! There has been massive change in the FAA over the last 15 years. New hardware, new software, from 9-11 a multitude of stringent safety rules, newer planes w/better avionics, soon satellite radar(not ground based), & a new generation(babies to me) is sitting in place of us bitter wrinkly smelly crotchety old farts(Lisa Watkins excluded). Just a few days ago I was one of those babies sitting next to seasoned unshakable veterans. The change, the building is slowly being overtaken by these young guns. I have 4 more years before I reach my max air traffic shelf life age 56. Then I go away. More change. I say bring it!
