As I am reading this letter, that is very measured and very kind, I cannot but think of those other yellow, or black, or plain dirty writings by some Russian and Ukrainian, quite unfortunately, individuals, who spew hatred, disdain and what not towards Ukraine and those in Ukraine who made their anti-Yanukovichs choice, and are now fighting peacefully and with resolve to be able to pursue it. Those missives are filled with profanities, they denigrate the very essence of Ukraine. I have not lived in Ukraine for twenty years, but had ample opportunities to travel there, including outside of Kyiv, e.g. Donetsk and it staying and villages, Lviv, Lutsk, Chernivtsi, etc., etc. True, having met those in Lviv who had a swastika on their wall, I am causious about Svoboda and the extreme right. But they have demonstrated some growing up on Maidan. Ukraine is my birth country, and Kyiv will forever be my city. Those who do not like Ukraine or its culture or language, are free to leave. That is simple.
