As I develop an update and sequel to the original Kilowatt Ours - TopicsExpress

As I develop an update and sequel to the original Kilowatt Ours documentary, I have been paying attention to emerging energy trends in America, and will share some of my findings with you from time to time. Also in this email, please note below that I am clearing out my inventory of older eco-documentary titles I produced in the 1990s, making them available at cost for donors who would like to give a copy or two to local libraries or schools. You may recall this scene of a power plant demolition in Kilowatt Ours (kilowattours.org/script_chapter8b.php -- 40 seconds into the video clip). Back in 2003 when I was producing KO, I had to go to all the way to Germany to find this awesome footage. Recently, my friend Danny Orlando (Energy Star Specialist), sent me this link of a similar demolition of a coal fired power plant closer to home... in Florida. Check it out: youtube/watch?v=Icuy8cYI1ZM Second, this recent news report on public radio indicates a significant shift among energy consumers towards energy conservation and efficiency and away from more dangerous forms of electricity generation. nashvillepublicradio.org/blog/2013/08/05/tva-says-drop-in-power-sales-start-of-a-long-term-trend/ Third, if you would like to donate one of my older titles (Generation Earth and/or Arctic Quest) to a local library or school, I am clearing out my inventory of these DVDs at cost. I want these DVDs to find good homes. When you donate $10 or more at KilowattOurs.org/donate.php, I will ship you either title or both. Please email me to indicate your preference: [email protected]
