As I drive through the poor, unkept, slummy, deprived section of Providence; know to most as the HOOD and the place of my birth and section I grew up in and still live to this day, only leaving to go to college; I see many smiling faces. The smile faces could because of the 60+ degree tamp. as its the first of many beautiful spring days to come. Music is blasting, beer; not wine, but beer is being drank on porches and on street corners. Illegal sneakers and clothes are being sold outside an established business that has taxes and overhead... This sight is something im going to see tomorrow and and next, and next month and this summer and next summer... Its sad for me to see such happy faces in such unkept areas of my home. Im not happy here. I think, in part because I know if folks got together we could change our environment which directly impacts our way of life based on the scientific fact Living things Grow, lining things adapt, and living things react to stimulus in their environment We wont change that because the smiles on the faces of neighbors listening to their loud music drinking their beer is that of contentment and not because they stopped to smell the roses on this 62 degree day. HELLO PROVIDENCE, NICE TO SPEND THIS SUMMER WITH.... I HOPE AND PRAY TO GOD ITS MY LAST.
