As I have said all year long ... the NCAA playoff ranking system has no integrity! Check this out, after todays games ... TCU will be 8-1, ranked #4 or #5, dependent upon the Bama/LSU outcome. BU will be the same 8-1, but ranked no higher than #8. Hmmm ... both TCU & BU have played 7 of the same 9 opponents, and the Bears beat the Horned Frogs head-to-head. Obviously, head-to-head means little or nothing! The tired argument about non-conference opponents is bogus. TCUs non-conference opponents have a combined record of 13-13; Baylors 8-19 ... neither above .500. The REAL death blow to the entire system will be if both TCU & BU run the table, each finishing 11-1, having played 10 of the same 12 opponents. Baylor will be the Big 12 Champion, and will have beaten TCU head-to-head, yet TCU will be ranked higher ... possibly in the final 4! Wanna try to defend THAT screw up, anyone?
