As I journey through this deck I shall be sharing with you all information on the Classic Maya civilization. You will be learning new terms like, Yax Hal Witz, which is what Im sketching for The Mountain card. The Yax Hal Witz is Creation Mountain from which all life on earth sprang, according to the Classic Maya. It translates into First Manifestation (or True) Mountain. You will also be introduced to characters like Hun Ahaw, which translates as First Lord, and Kawil, both of whom are deities. You will definitely at some point be meeting my favorite Mayan, Yaxun Balam, which translates as Bird Jaguar, a king of the Classic Maya city of Yaxchilan, which is located in present-day Chiapas, Mexico; as well as Pakal the Great, a king of the Classic Maya city of Palenque, also located in Chiapas.
