As I post this next piece - I reflect back on my career as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Bellevue Fire Department, King County Medic One Program and Seattle/King County EMS... 20 years ago (today) at the Mary Pang multi-alarm, commercial structure fire - we lost (4) of our Bravest that night. This fire (which soon after, was determined to be arson) took the lives of our colleagues, our brothers, our friends and a part of us! I remember these men today and to their extended families for their loss. Please know, that I do think of them and have certainly have NEVER forgotten them, as is with ANY of the colleagues that I have lost in Emergency Services over the decades of doing this job! I would like to offer this Tribute... put together by two members of the Federal Way Fire Department (near Seattle, WA.). The Pang Warehouse Fire on January 5th, 1995 took from us: Lt. Walter Kilgore, Lt. Gregory Shoemaker, FF Randall Terlicker & FF James Brown. This Tribute was made to honor the memory of these fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.
