As I prepare to spend another glorious night with friends, I think I should tell you my Christmas Story. I believe I truly lived the meaning of Christmas. I spent the afternoon brunching with friends. We had far too much food left, so we made over 40 sandwiches and over forty snack packs of cookies and dessert. We added some small bottles of water to the meal. Then we drove to downtown Ft. Lauderdale and handed them out to homeless people on the street. We broke the law and felt great about it! They were so gracious, and thankful. They wished us Merry Christmas and said God Bless You. I was touched to tears that so little could be so appreciated. I walked away unafraid of these less fortunate and truly felt blessed because I had helped, in a small way, fulfill the meaning of Christmas by giving a small gift to a stranger. I realize that I, and everyone else, should live that meaning Everyday.
