As I quietly await the beginning of another day at the Taverna, I pause to think of all the things I am thankful for. I remember the many times I was away from family while serving in the Army, in other countries, sometimes in combat. I realize how thankful I am. During these later years, I have come realize that I was never alone. I always had the Lord, and I took comfort from that. Tomorrow, as you enjoy Thanksgiving with your family, take a moment to remember all our servicemen and servicewomen, who are away , protecting us and making our country a great place to live.
