As I read my old posts of a few years ago, I found this written on 31 December 2012. Its good to reflect on the past to renew the present as one of my FB friends wisely advised me. Do not store up treasures on earth, ... but store up your treasures in heaven ... For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. If you are of good eye, you will be full of light. But if you are of evil eye, you will be full of darkness. (Matthew 6:19-23) This is one of the obvious examples in the Bible that Yeshua(Jesus) was Jewish in His teachings as well as in His life. He was quoting the wisdom of Solomon, a man who has good eye(a generous man) will be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor - Proverbs 22:9 and do not eat food with a man who has evil eye(a stingy man), for he is always thinking about the cost - Proverbs 23:6-7. For many centuries Christian theologians made many other interpretations out of this phrase in Matthew by their Greek mind. It was only after 1967 the year of the 6 Day war when Jerusalem was restored back to Jewish people and there in Jerusalem began Hebraic perspective Bible study by Jewish scholars and pro-Jewish Christian scholars, who discovered hidden treasures of the Bible as was in the Apostolic time 2000 years ago. Thanks to those Hebraic perspective Bible scholars, today more and more students of the Bible have eyes open to see the Bible in its original perspective and even to see our Lord as the Jewish Messiah, though He is worshipped as the Christ. As His people, Jewish people are back to the land of Israel and Jerusalem the city of our God, the LORD(YHWH) the Father is being rebuilt, the Jewishness of our Lord Yeshua(Jesus) is made known more and more, first for Jewish people to be reconciled with their own Messiah and for true Christians to humbly acknowledge His love for His own, Jewish people.
