As I return home from a productive business meeting in Oklahoma, a beautiful and heartwarming weekend with my Sorors celebrating the Centennial of our Beloved Beta Chapter, and fellowship with lifelong friends from Wilberforce University, the word that comes to mind is thankful. I just thank God for so many blessings - safe travel; supportive and competent colleagues; my Big Sisters who I am still in awe of all these years later; my Sands who love one another whether we chat every six days or six months (we always pick up right where we left off); the current Sorors of Beta who work diligently to maintain our traditions; all of my friends from Wilberforce who return annually to celebrate and mourn, encourage and support, laugh and party with each other, and make sure the University continues to stand strong; and finally my husband who loves me and is willing to listen to every detail from the weekend and laugh with me about the fun I had with people hes only heard of before. JUST THANKFUL. Read: Colossians 3:15-17 ESV And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
