As I sat down for dinner at Mr. Bigs in Houston tonight with Jodi Jamison Beard, Terry Creighan and Michelle Lobello I was asked why I have not acknowledged my Facebook birthday wishes from the 13th. I guess I have been in hiding. You see, Jodi and I were out with another friend recently, and a nosy couple from Glencannon showed up unexpectedly. We put up with her manic speech patterns and were happy to see them finally leave. However, when the wife got up to leave she came around the table for a hug. I naturally allowed myself to raise one arm in reciprocation. To my fellow neighbors that know the whack job of whom I speak of I must apologize. At no point in the act could I recognize anything in my mind that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone that hears this confession is now dumber for having listened to it.
