As I sit here and drink my coffee I watched this short clip with Raven Symone and it got me to thinking. How do people in other countries such as England, Germany, Ireland, etc. refer to black citizens of those countries? So I did a brief internet search and this what I found. They are referred to as, wait for it... black. Black Britain, Black German, Black Irish. So why in the United States do we hyphenate Americans by referring to them as African? I believe it has nothing to do with the heritage of origins in Africa and everything to do with political correctness dividing the citizens of this great country, the United States of America. After all a house divided against itself cannot stand. Your thoughts are welcome. Make it a great day and I’ll chat at all yall later.
