As I sit in the Church at the fourth funeral I have attended in - TopicsExpress

As I sit in the Church at the fourth funeral I have attended in four days, with two more in the next three days, I am reminded of what a precious gift our life, our loved ones, friends and the moments we get to share with them truly are. We arent guaranteed the next moment of life here on Earth and should never take the time for granted. We all face challenges and loss in our lives, the only guarantee we have is how we respond each moment to the time we have, and the people we touch along the way. We can wish for the days or events to go by quickly to get to the next big event, or we can enjoy life as we do great things along the way. Dont miss an opportunity to tell, and show your loved ones and friends what they mean to you. You will enrich their lives, and your life will be blessed because of these acts of love and kindness. Its not the material things that one will be remembered for, but the acts of love and kindness shown along the way. In the song Three Wooden Crosses, a song about the transformation of a woman and the impact she had on the lives of those around her, the song concludes with these words, Its not what you take when you leave this world behind you, Its what you leave behind you when you go. For me, I am going to try to live each moment knowing I may not have another opportunity to express love and kindness, I hope you will too.
