As I think about the examination on Thursday (sharing of my faith journey), in preparation for my installation/ordination on Sunday, it has me exploring parts of my story like I havent in quite a while. Thriving with HIV gives me the ability to assist others in a compassionate way, and to give them hope they might not otherwise have. Having dealt with addiction and finding recovery, provided me with a program that gave me permission to define my God in a way I might not have otherwise. I am grateful today for the hurdles that were placed in my path, I am stronger because of them. I have my good days and my bad just like anyone else, but life today is pretty amazing.
