As I was driving to meet my crew this morning, the rain started coming down pretty good. I didnt know what to expect. For some reason, I didnt get down or feel uneasy. I knew that at least one person was going to show up, Vivian C Prewitt. Turning into the library parking lot seeing no lights, I got a little concerned. But something said to keep going...business as usual. I pulled into a parking spot and noticed there were other cars there. I sat for merely 2 minutes, and more cars pulled in. Kimi got out of her car smiling. This was her first time doing this. Laschandra Spraggins had on her lights, sleeves, and BGR signs in hand smiling good morning to the ladies! I knew then...you GOT to do this. More and more and more cars pulled in!!! Ladies started getting out of cars with umbrellas and reflective gear, smiling! Auntie Debra even said, Aint nuthin to it but to do it (and its just her 2nd week). After my run and sweep, I learned that a cancer survivor, Leslie L Wilhite-Griffin, and her daughters were there for the first time. She has some goals she wants to reach, and we are going to help her. She was inspired by Wendy LaMia sharing the group photos on Facebook and telling somebody about a group that is CRAZY as ever!!!! Do you all see where Im going with this? We have to get to the point where we realize that this is NOT about us. We never know who we are touching and reaching. All God wants us to do is what He wants us to do. Im reminded as I type to not be weary in well-doing. As long as you do good, good will follow you (thank you, Tracy Mckinney). We may not know the reason, but we must believe that there is divine purpose. Happy Friday!
