As I was making coffee this morning I noticed through the kitchen window, a squirrel floundering on the back steps. I wasnt sure if he was playing or resting. I tapped on the window to get his attention. I can see it was breathing, eyes open but not moving. I can tell he was hurt. As I went out back to check his condition, I noticed bleeding from his mouth area. I figured a bowl of water would be the best I could do for him. He was scared, shaking and tensely stiff. I forced the water on him a few times and he shook with tremor. I can tell by the look in his eyes he was grateful and knew I was there to help. With not much more to do for him I let him rest and went back inside. 15 minutes later I noticed he was gone. I think my buddy made it! And its a good feeling!
