As I watch the news & weather reports & hear about the ice in West Texas I am reminded about the ice storms we had last year & a few years ago. Preston was supposed to come home for the weekend & was unable to get here which made me sad, but Id rather him be safe & warm, in West Texas & now Portales than on the roads. Last night we had rain, thunder, lightning & tornado warnings in this part of the state. Crazy, right? Or is it? Yes, I griped & complained & fretted about our previous ice storms & worry about everyone on the roads. But the ice is beautiful in its own way! And the rain is very much needed here! But how awesome is the God we serve! He can create such different conditions just hours away from each other! Could He be telling us in the eerieness of the ice & the pounding of the thunder to JUST BE STILL & KNOW THAT I AM GOD? His ways are not our ways, but He is the author of this story we call life & He is loudly reminding us that HE is in control!!
