As I watch the world events unfold, I am constantly reminded of scriptures that fortell these events. Todays headline reads Russian forces cross Crimea border to seize gas plant on eve of referendum and another reads Israel shells southern Lebanon after border bombings and another Syrian forces wrest border town from rebels and yet another Key al Qaeda militant reportedly killed in Syria Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars... and Mark 13:7 When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginnings of the birth pains. Lets break this down. We see the wars and rumors of wars in the news today. There is nothing new there except that with todays technology, we have real-time information pouring in from every corner of the globe. earthquakes in various places; The USGS reports today that in the past 15 days the following major earthquakes occurred. * 3-16-2014, Iquique, Chile 7.0 magnitude * 3-15-2014, Sechura, Peru 6.3 * 3-13-2014, Kunisaki-shi, Japan 6.3 * 3-11-2014, South Sandwich Islands, 6.4 *3-10-2014, Ferndale, California 6.8 * 3-7-2014, Sinabang, Indonesia 2.7 * 3-6-2014, Villa Alemana, Chile 5.3 * 3-5-2014, Sola, Vanuatu 6.3 * 3-2-2014, Nago, Japan 6.5 In the last 24 hours (3-16-2014) they report 9 earthquakes around the globe ranging from 2.7 to 7.0 on the Richter Scale. One begins to wonder has it has always been this way? Researchers have reported that from the information they have, there has not been a significant increase in the NUMBER of earthquakes, however there is clear evidence that there has been a dramatic increase in the INTENSITY of the earthquakes. They further report that there are hundreds of insignificant quakes (less than 2.7 in magnitude) on a daily basis throughout the planet. famines; from www .dailymail. co. uk/news the headline dated 4-23-2012 reads ...[West African famine threatening 23 million with starvation.] The Sydney Morning Herald in Australia reports the the 10 worst famines of the 20th century as; China 1958-62 Soviet Union 1921-22 Ukraine 1932-34 North-west China 1927 Henan, China 1943 North Korea 1995-99 Bengal, India 1943 Hunan, China 1929 Soviet Union 1946-47 Cambodia 1979 Now in the 21st century, we have Somalia and West Africa with food shortages threatening to kill tens of millions with starvation. beginnings of the birth pains. I now refer you to the book of Revelation, chapter 12 verses 1-2 , John writes A great and wondrous sign appeared in the heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. I often wondered what John was talking about here. Recently, I found a YouTube video that explains that this woman is in fact, the constellation Virgo. As reported in this video, the position of this constellation as viewed from Jerusalem, will be (in the next three years) in such a position that the moon will be at her feet and a crown of 12 stars will be around her head. This actually includes 9 stars and 3 planets. During this period, the largest planet in our solar system, Jupiter (known as the King planet) will be in an orbit that will be visible from Jerusalem, and appear to enter the womb of the woman. Because of its orbit, Jupiter will appear to stay in this area for a period of 41 weeks. At the end of this time, the planet will appear to have reversed direction and will exit the womb. If we compare these things, we see parallels that are quite remarkable. First, we have the constellation Virgo. She is known as the virgin. The bible teaches that Mary, the mother of Jesus was in fact a virgin when she was found to be with child. [Matthew 1:18] Then the King planet, Jupiter enters the womb. We know that the bible refers to Jesus as King i.e. King of Kings, Lord of Lords [Revelation 19:16]. Consider the period of time in which the planet stays in the womb; 41 weeks. We know that the natural gestation period for a human is 9 months, or 41 weeks. At the end of this 41 weeks, the woman gives birth to the king planet. We know that in Genesis, God cursed the woman Eve with birthing pains for her disobedience in eating of the fruit of the tree of life. NASA has confirmed that within the next three years, these celestial events will take place exactly as predicted by John in Revelation. Jesus warned that this was the beginning of that which is prophesied. Jesus continues on in verse 10 of Mark, the 13th chapter And the Gospel must first be preached to all nations. Again I point to our technology, and tell you that with the help of television, radio, satellite communication, and the internet, this prophesy has already been fulfilled. At this point, my hope is that you will begin to realize what it is that I am trying to convey. This is only a very small portion of the evidence that points to the fact that we are now in the end times as described in the bible. We now have scientific evidence that has been proven to be factual that actually supports the prophesies of the bible! When science and religion agree, it leaves very little room for doubt. I urge you to look into these things for yourself. Dont take my word for it, do your own research and draw your own conclusions. If the bible could be right about these things, couldnt it be right about the other things it says?
