As I weave my way through the final chapters of my book, Ive been forced to dwell on the word karma. What is it really? Does it exist? Is it something thats a universal law or a self imposed punishment? Is it actually something we use to buffer our sore hearts with, a notion that justice will prevail in time and well be avenged? Is it true to say that whatever we dish out, returns ten fold, whether it be good or bad? If so, why do bad things happen to good people all the time. How would a child in Gaza or Ethiopia respond to the western platitude Do the right thing, and the right thing happens - they dont have any say in what happens, they didnt create their dilemma. I would love to know your thoughts and hope you share them with me. CB x
