As I write this, I am under the covers, shivering from being so - TopicsExpress

As I write this, I am under the covers, shivering from being so close to the air conditioner, watching the Cardinals game...on tv. You know, the game we just left mid-way through. Tonight was super fun, relaxing, with gorgeous weather. We couldnt ask for better seats. But it was also a great reminder that things dont always go as planned. Its rather ironic to be gifted with tickets to a special event because of your childs medical condition, and have to leave halfway through because he started throwing up, not related to his medical condition. We think it was the excitement and the extra calories that did his tummy in. He felt fantastic afterward, but it was time to go. Now, I just feel grateful for the memories we made and the happy times were had together. I hated for the evening to end. We rode the metro back, then walked, jumped and skipped to our hotel room. Got inside our room and immediately started the nightly meds ritual. The only thing different was our sons friend was here to share it with us and our baby stayed behind with grandma. Reality snuck its not as fun head back into the adventure. At one point I looked around Busch Stadium, at all the lights and people, so happy to have this experience. The thought, I would trade all of this in an instant, for his heart to be whole. But thats just not possible. So, I will gratefully accept sweet nights like this, and sincerely feel blessed that we have our healthy, miracle of a boy to share in it! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. Psalm 9:1
