As I write this post, it has so many emotions mixed within. Kenzie is stable. Her blood remains low but stable at this point. She is tired. She doesnt seem to have the energy to do even the smallest basic things of an everyday life. She still coughs some but that has improved. Kenzie has been put in isolation by me. This means that if you are sick in any way, do not be around her. If you are coughing, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhea, receiving live vaccinations, sore throat, fever, or been around anyone like that in last 48 hours, please do not be around her. Even if you think what you have is just allergies, please do not take that chance of being around her. She is what the docs call immunocompromised from her Soliris which means that she gets sicker easier and it last longer and generally puts her in the hospital. She will have to be there long enough with this transplant, we dont want to spend any more time there. After this post, I will not be posting any more information concerning the donor until I have exact dates. I understand that the donor is a vital part of this journey, but it is not the main part. We are back to square one and on the search for another compatible donor for Kenzie. We have tried to digest this information for a while and it seems that it gets a lil harder to do that each day. We were simply heartbroken and no words could be spoken. Please continue to pray for our family. Pray for Kenzie to heal and be a normal teenager once again. Pray that we will all have the courage to face this battle head on and with faith. On a journey such as this one, it is so easy to lose faith and lose sight. Pray for strength for us all-Kenzie to fight the battle and us to help her fight and keep her focused along the journey. May God bless you all!
