As Im gearing up for my last week at the Center for Investigative Reporting, Ive been reflecting upon the tons of great memories California gave me. Without a doubt, I will deeply miss every source, every official, every colleague and friend Ive crossed paths with during my short time on the Westside. Every encounter made me a better journalist and, hopefully, a wiser more complete human being. CIR afforded me a shot at my dreams, and gave me the space to grow. Ill forever be grateful. Im team CIR - for life. Im also tremendously blessed to be joining another amazing team of talented, dedicated journalists at The Marshall Project. And Im bursting with excitement over moving back to my home city, the ATL. Its been a long time, GA. But Im coming back to do the damn thang.
