As Im laying in my bed tonight, I started to think about my life - TopicsExpress

As Im laying in my bed tonight, I started to think about my life and the direction its going. A year ago I would have never thought Id be living in Las Vegas. Ive been here for a half a year now which is crazy. It started off rough, I packed all of my things and moved from a small town to a big city knowing no one but my older brother who I am very blessed to have with me here. I do get very homesick from time to time, miss my family and friends, and feel like I want to move back to illinois...but I know I have so much potential here, especially with the fitness industry...which is keeping me here. On top of that Ive met a lot of amazing people and developed several friendships. I moved to start over and continue my future and to grow up. Growing up scares me, it really does but its how you choose to handle situations along the way. Nothing comes easy in life and things do get tough, but if you work hard you will be successful. Its nice to get a taste of the real world, and I honestly needed this. Paying for my own gas, food, rent, clothes...really changed my perspective...especially since I was very blessed growing up and got everything handed to me, and Ill admit that. This is making me appreciate my parents a lot more than I did when I was back at home. You only have one life, and youre in control. If you want something be ambitious and go after it. You cant sit around and expect things to fall into place, you have to put forward the effort. Im sorry for this novel but I needed to get this off my chest.
