As Im sitting here eating breakfast this morning, I look up and see this beautiful young lady, maybe late teens, early twenties, and she is just enthralled in this three inch thick book in her hands. She is whispering the story to herself out loud, her lips are barely moving, but the passion in her face is so very noticeable. She has no care in the world right now, and is lost inside her story. This is beauty. Books do still exist, and can be loved. They make you feel alive inside. A book. She has her tiny hands wrapped around hundreds of pages of fiction. Not a phone. Not some electronic music player. A beautiful work of art that can be read and enjoyed silently or out loud. My challenge to you: Pick up a book today. Get yourself lost in someone elses fantasy. Curl up with a blanket, tea , your favorite story, and run away with your mind for a while. Youll be surprised how much better your day will be.
