As Kenya becomes a middle income country, many of tha common wananchi have criticized this say it wont have any gud impact on them. I dont deny this fallacy coz still there exists the inequality amongst our citizens and the concept of per capita income to me as an economist is a mere assumption. Despite saying/noting tha above I could tend to contradict more or less to the above: Yesterday I had tha privilege to spend, enjoy n celebrate my mashujaa day in tha republic of Tanzania. As much as we may say tat Kenya is underdeveloped, we r so many miles ahead if I were to compare the least developed area in my region to the centers I toured (isbania, shauri yako, mwangimei, etc) I therefore, call upon all our citizens, gov representatives and all other economic facilitators to join hands, work to together towards building our economy. In as much as this will have more benefit to those high income earners/capitalists, say- #wenyekenya, in tha long run, this benefits will eventually trickle down to tha common #mwananchi. kandara pple, we can go far, we have everything that call for much development.
