As Veterans Day approaches, as a Veteran I think about what does it mean to me. I think about how thankful I am for all the Veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that I can live the way I want to. The ultimate sacrifice is something most people dont understand. Not just dying for your country but going some place you dont want to go, or maybe doing things you dont want to do. Even changing your beliefs for the good of our nation. Not only giving their lives but we cant forget that these are sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, husbands and wives. Their ultimate sacrifice effects not only family life but everyone around that individual. These are individuals who are not famous, or stars. These are ordinary people that stands up to do the things most people do not want to do. They care about the people of this great nation and have the strength to stand up for what this great nation stands for. As I sit and think about Veterans Day, I say thank you so much for all my fallen comrades. Your sacrifices will not be forgotten. I thank all the families that gave these individuals the strength to carry on. Last but not least, the country owes you so much and that is why most people will thank Veterans each and every day.
