As Wednesday humps to a close, as Thanksgiving inches closer, I have this to say about November... ... ... It has been a very productive last four weeks in spite of city code enforcement and a brutal water bill fiasco: With the assistance of some of the guys the attic mess was breached! This tipping of the pile was necessary because, after that the Sheridanalanche was in full grind! After 4 weeks more of unloading, sorting, condensing, repacking, trashing, and organizing: -- the 3rd room, my new craft/hobby/mancave room, is now empty of stored things; -- the back hall closet is cleared of what ever odd sods and flotsam was in there, and now holds garb; -- the trailer is empty and is no long a wheeled storage locker; -- the massive walk-in attic is organized and sorted and labeled; -- attic vents are repaired and screened in; -- all fencing materials are in one place, stacked, off the ground, and tarped; -- all construction project lumber is sorted, off the ground, and tarped; -- my special lumber is in the attic (Spanish cedar, etc); -- the pile of it might be useful someday stuff that was in the back yard is gone; -- the new, (elevated 15 off the ground and 5 or more feet away from any structure) firewood rack is loaded to brimming; -- a smallish pile of trash by the back gate awaits disposal; -- a tarped pile of stuff for donation/yard sale awaits distribution; -- theres room to park the trailer off street now! I also started the next and final phase of the bread oven construction: building the side-by-side brick barrel vaults. Yes, of course MY oven will have two cooking chambers. December: -complete the roof repair over the attic; -move the computer into my craft room; - move the fence from the alley edge to a spot about 15 inward which be at the top of the back yard stairs, at the edge of the slope, which will create TWO off street parking spots. This also requires two gates, two lights, and better security for the attic door. No big deal; - attack the workshop patio, get it fully ready for armor production; - tree trimming and removal; - new front walkway leading to my rental house.
