As a Brampton City Councillor, there is an expectation of honesty, integrity, and RESPECT for taxpayer money. In our opinion, Councillor Vicky Dhillon has not lived up to these expectations. He has continually broken the rules. Now, as a result, is under criminal investigation. Item 1: India Trip The following screenshots are from the audit and expense report, which include the rules Councillor Vicky Dhillon broke. These and all MISSING information are now being investigated by the Ontario Provincial Police. The audit indicates Councillor Vicky Dhillon charged Brampton taxpayers $3191 on an UPGRADED ticket to India; $514.59 on an IPAD; and $1275 (70,000 Rupees) for food on his 15 day trip, even though meals were provided at ALL events. Councillor Vicky Dhillon claims that because of ‘dietary restrictions’, he was forced to spend taxpayer money on outside food, with no explanation of where and what was purchased, or what his dietary restriction was. These expenses aside, the total sum of the MISSING money is $7329, yet Councillor Vicky Dhillon has not provided information as to where the missing money was spent; what the result of the supposed trade mission was; and which particular businesses he had spoken to. Invoices and receipts were requested, however have NOT been provided. The question Brampton Taxpayers are asking is if this was a trade mission, or a tax payer funded VACATION.
