As a Pagan musician ploughing a pretty narrow niche, you have to find the audience rather than them come to you. It is surprisingly difficult to get regular gigs outside of festivals and camps, which although great, as just one act in of many, the chances of being noticed depends very much on what time you are billed to play.... I have always wondered why moots and such like rarely think to incorporate a 20 min/half hour set from Pagan musicians, like how folk clubs feature a guest act in their proceedings. But it is a suggestion that has always been vehemently denied. As Folk clubs often dont like Pagan folk musicians because were too off the wall for their conservative tastes it feels like outside the festival circuit there is no live platform for us!
