As a begginer i find this group really helpful. My story: I watched ironman uk in bolton this year. I was inspired. 5 days later I registered for 2015. Never done a tri before or any individual sport, but Ive always been sporty, played football well until mid twenties and cricket recently but hardly exhausting. In July I weighed just under 18st. Im 6ft. I was shocked at how heavy I was. Im 14 weeks into training. And ive lost 2 stone and want to lose another 2. Im almost addicted to training and even more addicted to buying tri equipment. If my mrs sees the credit card statement id be goosed. Im feeling fairly confident in my progress not to say ive thought ive bitten off more than I can chew a few times or thought why didnt I plan on doing it in 2016 to ley me train for it better. But im committed now. Im just wanting to finish, inside im setting myself a 15hr target but I will take crawling over at 16hr.59. Ive one main worry and im sure its been answered many times but i just want reassurance. I really want to do breast stroke, partly because despite having 5 sessions of swim coaching im crap at front crawl (and ive read about it clicking etc but its stressing me out) and secondly I know I will enjoy doing breast stroke. I know I can do it BS. I did 152 lengths in 1hr40 last week.. Someone tell me its ok to do breast stroke and not look a pussy. Whats your thoughts guys? Anyone swam ironman doing BS?
