As a candidate for FBISD BOT, Position 4, and in the interest of running an honest and positive campaign for the position, I am committing now to abide by the TASB Code of Ethics. While I may not agree with every position expressed by other candidates, or all tactics used, I believe in the free expression of ideas, the openness of the democratic process and the rights of voters to choose their candidate. As I have stated previously, the reason I chose to run for FBISD BOT is because I care about the students in FBISD - ALL students. My background and experience support my concern for all students in FBISD and the fact that I am willing to work for the best interests of ALL - not just a few. Feel free to ask any parent, teacher or student I have worked with and I think they will attest to this. I have no hidden agenda or ulterior motive - I simply wish to serve. While I have experience in the area of special education, personal and professional, and can offer some insight in this area, I have much experience in many other areas in education and otherwise and, as my record reflects, I genuinely care about this district. My decisions now and as a member of the BOT will always be for the best interests of ALL students in the district. I am in the process of developing a FAQ section on my web site that I hope will answer potential questions in more detail. I also commit to being available to discuss my position on any issue, openly and honestly, and if I do not have first-hand information about an issue I commit to finding out and getting myself educated about it.
