As a child, I remember passing by my grandparents room, and stopping to listen to the melodious voice of my daadi pouring out, as she sang Bhajans of Narsinh Mehta. I was too young to appreciate the full extent of their meaning, but it never failed to draw me into her room and sit there in rapture while she prepared her Sāmagri and performed her daily Pūjas. Yesterday, I heard my father sing a line from a bhajan while folding some clothes, a tune I had not heard in nearly 15 years now. I rushed to the computer to google the bits and pieces, and discovered but one of the many songs that my grandmother used to sing. Listening to it I had goosebumps all over and could not control the tears of joy, as I felt myself transported into the body of the same little boy who sat with his grandmother all those years ago, during times far more innocent than ours I share that same sentiment here :) dailymotion/video/x1cel6x_he-jagne-jadva_music
