As a conservative and a Christian, I am proud of our country and the decisions being made this weekend. Prudence is being openly displayed and adhered to in foreign policy, and the protection of both freedom and equality is forefront in the minds of those in power. Our goal, as proclaimed in almost perfect harmony by everyone in the DOD community, is to prevent the widespread use of something horrific that does not belong in the 21st century world, especially when we as the United States have the means to prevent it. We owe it to ourselves and our conscience to prevent this evil, and those who stand by in this crisis will soon regret missing the opportunity to protect innocence. Fox News correspondents and political pundits can insinuate what they want, but in this situation at least, President Barack Obama and his team are doing an amazing job and issuing us orders that closely adhere to the principles in which I have faith. I am proud to have him as my commander in chief, and no less a Christian conservative for saying so.
