As a former High School coach of three different Sports and a Current College Coach, these stats from the NCAA bear several points for me.... 1. The vast majority of High school athletes will not advance to the next level of play. 2. the Likelihood of playing professionally is so remote that only the most elite players will ever get the opportunity. 3. The small percentage of athletes who will play at the next level have to work extremely hard both in the classroom and on the playing field/court to compete for the other kids working for the same goal and 4. Enjoy the pure pleasure of participating in High School sports and the benefits from the life skills learned by the experience...Teamwork, Work Ethic, Dealing with Setbacks and Developing positive personal relationships with others that will last a lifetime..... Players and parents..... relax and enjoy the Ride! Its a great adventure but its time is limited! (my thanks to John Lowery for sharing)
