As a group we are fighting to improve the health service for everyone in this area. We need as many people as possible to join the group, next years election will be fought over the NHS. The Labour party started the privatization of the NHS but did not alter the status of the government to provide a universal health care system. The Tories increased the use of private Companies, made these companies exempt from the freedom of information act.Created Commissioning groups, where the people running these groups have shareholdings or are paid fees by private groups. Swale is covered by 2 groups. Canterbury CCG Swale CCG. Neither is providing the right services for the people of Swale or adapting to the changing face of the NHS. The outpatient clinics are being changed and one of these new clinics Estuary view is a private run centre.Which is not central to the majority of services. The local political groups of politicians are paying lip service to the saving of Faversham cottage hospital,as how can a local Tory Councillor who support the ideology of the Tory party that wants private health care try to defend the service. Mark Jones the Chairman of the Canterbury CCG has a shareholding in invicta health.Should he really be looking after our healthcare in Swale or does he have a conflicting interest. Your health and health care matters to our group, please provide us with any information or news in relation to your care at any level
