As a movie, I am unimpressed with the hobbit. The writing, and characters are dull, unoriginal and predictable at best, and I could make cgi scenes that rival the quality in some moments. The dialogue abandons the style of the characters personalities fairly often, slipping into more modern, or awkward jargon that shouldnt exist in this fantasy world, and occasionally becomes quite comical in delivery. The action can be obnoxious in its never ending loop, and very often is so far fetched you have to detach your understanding of the laws of physics that you gained as a child in order to enjoy it. I feel its useless to mention the holes in the plot in regards to connecting this sub par middle earth world to that of the original epic trilogy, the Lord of the Rings. All in all, not worth my time. except for Martin Freeman. Hes still awesome.
