As a notable IFBB pro shared with me about his clients that he consuls on marketing; If a company asks you to travel somewhere and work a booth for 10 hours per day and doesnt pay you except for you to be able to say you are sponsored and working the event for so & so how is that different than if Publix asked you to do the same thing? Most fitness industry companies are quite small compared to Publix, which is a multi-billion dollar corporation. Being seen doesnt add up to the same thing as being paid. You can make money in this industry regardless of division. DLB is the example I commonly use with lines longer than Mr. Olympias as expos. Nothing wrong with going after sponsorships, but be smart about it and realize as with any company they expect you to make them significantly more money than they share with you. Thats simply a fundamental principle of employment. Unleash your potential in 2015.
