As a patron of Voices of Music I get new release links sent to my computer and sit here and watch and listen with moist eyes from pure pleasure. I wonder what it is that makes such music so pleasurable to me. Is my brain wired differently? Why am I into nature and music? I see human beings reach the epitome of working together - as one - in making music. I think maybe it is that intellectual capability, first in having one person sit down and write many parts to be played as one, and then find enough highly talented people to actually play what this person thought up. It fascinates me that this is even possible but why do I get so emotional about it? Perhaps it is the visual and auditory senses coming together that does the trick. Just listening is one thing but also seeing it is another.
