Armed with Google Glass, Vanden Heuvels trip was even more meaningful as he shared every step in real time with his students in Michigan In February, Vanden Heuvel was one of the lucky few applicants selected to be a Google Glass Explorer, a program in which consumers and developers test Glass before it hits mainstream markets. Vanden Heuvel, who received his Glass just days before his trip to Geneva, Switzerland, said he quickly became acquainted with the device In the video above, Vanden Heuvel summons Glass as he bikes down the 17-mile-long Large Hadron Collider tunnel — more people have hiked Mount Everest than have biked this tunnel — as his students across the ocean watch in pure awe.
