As a police officers wife, there are times when the criminals and/or emergencies have to be more important than our perfectly made plans. There are many cold dinners, holidays without my better half, vacation days that vanish due to a need to be called in and sometimes days when a passing hi bye love you and a quick kiss is the extent of our time together....BUT (and I think every police wife I know would agree) I could not be more proud and honored that my husband chose me to live this life with him. I couldnt be more grateful for every second that he and his brothers put their lives on the line to protect all of us. I am fortunate to have my husband with me today....but if you happen to run into a police officer this Easter....thank him for putting aside his family on this holiday to protect yours. ;-) (I think anyone in the military, first responders and healthcare field can all relate...so thank you all!!)
