As a recipient of the 2013 National Medal from the Institute of Museum and Library Services we were given the opportunity to work with StoryCorps, a non-profit devoted to preserving stories through oral history recordings. Many of you may have heard their weekly program on NPR. IMLS has featured an interview by Sue Olson, a museum board member, who explains her familys Czech heritage to husband Ron. This interview, along with the others recorded at the NCSML last month, will be permanently stored at the American Folklife Center and in The Library of Congress.
