As a result of Typhoon Haiyan and the recovery efforts, nearly 40% of the competitor pre-registrations have withdrawn their participation in 2013 Musclemania Philippines. And because pre-registrations are always an indicator of day-of-show registrations, we know that the show would be significantly smaller then last year. Consequently, because of the costs associated with the professional production standards of Musclemania including our staff traveling from America, the show would incur major financial losses. Therefore, it is with dismay that we announce the postponement of Musclemania Philippines scheduled for next Saturday, December 7. We know that you and other competitors have trained and prepared for many weeks and months for the show and are indeed very sorry for the show date change. But as a commercial business with shows produced around the world and in light of the unfortunate circumstances, it would not be right to host the show this weekend with few competitors and audience. We will soon reschedule the show for next season and will post it once confirmed. And, we are making a significant and dedicated donation to the International Red Cross for the Typhoon Haiyan relief.
