As a result of the recent weather the lake has developed a green algae bloom, please be aware that this will not effect the fishing so to speak but it could have an effect on your health the algae has the potential to be toxic so take care when you are in contact with the water. I would suggest you carry antibacterial wipes and avoid contact with the lake water as much as you can. We are liaising with the council on this matter and any updates from them will be communicated to you all.
