As a soldier and human being I was taken back by the treatment of non-citizens by our Homeland Security. I was ashamed by their conduct. Especially by Officer Morales. We were made to obviously miss our flight and labeled Parolee. Kiss my brown Mexican ass that has served 13 years with brother Jacob Varela and sister Cynthia E. Varela-Smith both having served in combat for our nation. Out of 80 something gates at GB INT airport in Texas, only 13 were open. Government at its best. The non-terrorist mom who was waiting to see her daughter was treated like a piece of meat. For the first time of my life I did not feel proud to be an American. Shame, shame.
