As a wife of a military officer whom is currently on our second - TopicsExpress

As a wife of a military officer whom is currently on our second diplomatic tour, I am grateful that our government is taking care of us during our mission here. As Joe flies today and is separated from us once again, he supports diplomatic relations and continues to aide in our safety. He never really ever has a day off, always a slave to his blackberry, hosting, going to receptions, meetings. Often, when I accompany him or go to receptions and luncheons on my own, I may groan about my aching feet, or that my mind tires from speaking so many different languages.....and the weather here.....but I remember that there is a reciprocity, balance and price for Democracy and Freedom, that what we do is well worth it...my children understand that Joes role is important. They know when we leave for a reception or dad goes away that it serves a purpose. They know their country takes care of them, so far away from home and thankful to be given a fine education, healthcare and a beautiful home. I am grateful that we, as a military family, are being taken cared of by our government and I am proud to be an American. Our country is strong. We can persevere.
