As a worship leader obviously music speaks to me in such a huge way! Its a privilege and a complete honor that God called me your regular average girl to lead worship! Im so humbled by the opportunity. God has brought me through the darkest times of my life with the music and talents that Hes placed in my life! Even through the storms He is continually my safe haven of rest and strength! God placed on my heart a few weeks back to share maybe some songs that speak to me and have helped me at some point in my life. I will be honest I shrugged it off thinking ok God who really cares and who will really even listen to these songs? I can no longer shrug it off because I feel someone may need encouragement. The song I wanted to share is from my absolute favorite christian singer/songwriter whom Ive loved for years. Her name is Nichole Nordamen. God blesses her with such power words Im left in awe of how great His promises truly are. While driving home from work her song Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus (Look Up) came on the radio and I just sat and worshiped in my car! This song is combined with a powerful hymn that I sing on occasions during worship service. I felt God talking straight to me! My favorite line of the song says I wanna grow dim standing next to Him that simple line spoke volumes to me and reminded me of John 3:30 that says He must become greater and I must become less. My daily prayer for myself is to become less of me and more like Christ....growing dim standing next to HIM!
